Keeping Your Safety Systems Aligned

Today’s vehicles are equipped with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) that rely on cameras and sensors mounted to your windshield. Whenever your windshield is replaced, those systems need to be recalibrated to keep features like lane departure warnings, automatic braking, and adaptive cruise control working properly. At Tiny & Sons Auto Glass, our certified technicians use state-of-the-art technology to ensure your safety systems perform exactly as intended.

  • Recalibration resets and realigns your vehicle’s cameras and sensors after glass replacement. Without it, critical safety features may not function correctly, putting you and your passengers at risk.

  • ADAS recalibration realigns the cameras and sensors mounted to your windshield so your safety features can perform accurately. There are two main types:

Static Calibration - Calibration of windscreen-based ADAS sensors by use of a Calibration Tool which may include aiming targets, wheel alignment equipment, and or diagnostic tools. The process is carried out without driving the vehicle.

Dynamic Calibration – Calibration of windscreen-based ADAS sensors by means of driving the vehicle on the road, following the vehicle manufacturer’s prescribed method. May require a diagnostic tool to perform this operation.

Our team is trained in both methods, following strict OEM and AGSC standards.

  • •Ensures lane departure, forward collision, and braking systems function correctly.

    •Maintains manufacturer warranty compliance.

•Provides peace of mind knowing your safety technology is accurate.

  • Most new vehicles are equipped with ADAS features, and manufacturers are moving these technologies into more models each year. If your windshield houses a camera or your car includes any of the following features, recalibration will likely be required after replacement:

    • Lane Departure Warning

    • Front Collision Avoidance

    • Adaptive Cruise Control

    • Pedestrian Protection

    • Autopilot / Self-Driving

    • Lane Keep Assist

    • Front Collision Warning

If you’re not sure whether your vehicle requires recalibration, our team will assess your car and guide you through the process.
